We do love....

THE SPICE GIRLS, DON'T WE? Afterall, they are the ones who occupied our lives in the late 90s', agree? Managed to dig out a super old school LIVE performance. We do love them, and they're back with the World Tour Concert later this year.

Life's like that...

Rest in peace aunty. She passed away this morning. I was a little shock, but with her health condition, kind of expected.

Condolences to my mentor's mum as well. Take good care.

おめでとう

水崎先生は「おめでとう。がんばってください。」と言いました。
(mizusaki sensei said "congratulation, continue to work hard.")

I'm moving on to the next level - intermediate 2. Lesson begins 21 Aug from 6:30 - 9:30. You know why I can afford such a timing on a weekday? Because I'm left with practically a few more days to ORD by then. wahahaha! But before this, I have to brush up more on my intermediate.

Before I log out, I would like to leave you with Baby Ally "Whatever". This video clip never fail to put on a smile on my face. Ok, whatever~

the ride of a lifetime.

posted by tristan @ 7/15/2007 08:30:00 PM

A chance of a lifetime, being involved in NDP 2007 is simply fantastic. I was given a chance to ride in the Lamborghini Gallardo yesterday. I was tasked to hand the driver the pass for show on every saturday. Due to road closure, I have to walk quite a distance from the road block to pick this Lambor. Mr K.C. didn't realise that until yesterday. I could have get a ride in it since last saturday. Still I wanna thanks Mr K.C for making it a dream come true. I think till the day I lie flat in the coffin, I wouldn't get a chance to ride in it, neither will I buy this car that's priced exuberantly. I was darn excited. shivers! haha! We missed the little entrance to the gallery and have to go another round. Woo! I swore i did not pre-plan this. Haha! For a moment, I know everyone wants me dead! I shall try to take a photo this coming weekend with Mr K.C and the car.

This is the one used for rehearsal every week.

According to Mr K.C, on actual day, the Gallardo Sypder will be use instead! Screammssss.
Which could possibly means that I could ride in it, unless a change in plan.

Ok! Anyway, I went for my interview. I failed. The agonising part is the wait for 3 hours, queuing, sweating before you sit inside the ballroom and watch the Cabin Crew video played at least 10 times or more. Seriously, we don't know what they are exactly looking for. Some presented themselves well, ended up not being selected. Disappointed? Definitely, but I did not place high hopes for it as everyone just wants me to experience it first. I will try again for sure. But lets not be so hard up for it as well. I have the passion to serve, but maybe I do not have the calibre? Well, everyone can fly, but only the best can soar.

Here are some pictures taken at Yuki-Yaki. A farewell dinner for Yuleng as he's leaving Brisbane for his studies.

"I want you to apply this when you study Japanese. Don't be afraid of making mistakes. You won't get injured and no one will scold you because of your mistakes. For instance, if you greet "Konbanwa" in the morning, will you be killed? I don't think so. You will still be alive and greeted "Ohayoo gozaimasu." And next morning you will never say "Konbanwa" again because you have learnt. So don't be afraid of making mistakes. The more mistakes you make, the faster you master Japanese.. I guarantee it. Please enjoy making mistakes and GOOD LUCK! "

- Mineko Ebihara
Adapted from the founder of my school, kind of motivated me to work even harder. I flunged my final paper twice already and given one last chance on the 17th to clear it before proceeding to Intermediate 2. Language is a chore. Its hard, tedious and you learn from the very basic - kindergarden standard - that is. But still, when you start to get the hang of it, you will pretty much enjoy the entire process. My understanding in Japanese language have dipped tremendously and I'm so afraid that I won't be able to pick myself up even further. But the thought of wanting to acheive an International level cert - JLPT - put all the giving up thoughts away. Maybe I should blame myself, for not working hard enough and revise more often. Maybe I should blame it on NDP, for taking so much of my precious time away. Maybe I should blame Takatsuka sensei for being such a lousy teacher with his explaination. Maybe I'm just stupid, after 2 years, all the brain cells seems to have died. Maybe maybe maybe. We're constantly looking for excuses to shield and protect ourselves. Eventually, after all the blames, I still fail.

Raoul shirt + Levi's Boxers from my gang. I adore the colour scheme of the Raoul paper bag. Its soo ME!

I've been receiving endless birthday wishes! Thank you all. Out of this 70% claimed that I am a LAO NAN REN - OLD MAN! I'm only 22 you know... lolx.

The dinner at My Secret Garden wasn't that fantastic as what it appears to be. Food was ok, but service sucks big time. They worth only 1% out of 10. They pissed me off with the horrendous attitude. Thus, we did not stay long. I thought I would destroy the entire birthday with my bad choice. Decided that TCC would be a better alternative to cool us down. Great atmosphere, desserts and coffee.

Anyway, Tristan thank you all once again for being such a dear.

The lovely surprise!!!

posted by tristan @ 7/01/2007 04:56:00 PM

Friday evening, I got home at about 8 plus, had my dinner and watched some drama on Channel 8. Finally when the clock strikes 10, I decided to bathe thereafter study for my Japanese exam. I took off my specs and heard my cousin's voice. I'm as blind as a bat the moment I took off my specs and couldn't recognised who's the person standing beside my cousin when she came up. My initial thought was my cousin's friend who wanted to use my computer to do some work. Fine. After I walked out from my room with my specs on, I saw 2 familiar faces. None other than esther and erjie who came down specially to do an advance birthday celebration. Still in mu boxer, smelly legs, sticky body, I was caught off guard and totally S.U.R.P.R.I.S.E! Oh my god! That's 100% sweet and touchy.

My "naughty,always-talk-back and touch my things" little cousin. Though I always scold him for the just mentioned negative qualities of him, still he loves me so! Look at the effort put into this art piece. Its made up of sea-shells. Ain't it sweet?

My gift from them. Wondering what it is? Its a Japanese dictionary which COST A BOMB! Because its 3 figure book, I had never bear to buy it from Kinokuniya , instead I got a cheaper version for my studies. Don't worry, I will study till this book is tattered and torn.

This blog gonna be filled up with lots of photos with Farewell dinner at Yuki Yaki, some shots taken while working at NDP, dinner with the gang at Vila'ge 2 weeks ago. And not forgetting my 22nd Birthday dinner tonight at My Secret Garden.
